Yup! I already have my very own house, given to me by my ever loving parents as their advance gift for my 27th birthday. I can't wait to move in and decorate it, "modern chic Filipiniana" style. Dad also bestowed me with "purchasing power" to fill the house up with furniture that I like and mom helped me shop around yesterday.
Guess what? We did find a good deal on living room, dining room and bedroom sets. Well, the furniture that we bought are not as high-end as those in our mother house. But those that we chose are stylish, sturdy and affordable. I really like it a lot. And the choices that mom and I made exude practical and creative decision-making on our part. I love it!
I am still on the hunt for items that exude modern chic Filipiniana style. It feels like treasure hunting. But I am not on a hurry anyway. I am gonna take it easy, collecting the stuff that a person likes normally takes up years.
So now, I am willing to accept house warming gifts in advance... anyone? lols :))
