I do not agree with the actions of the late Ivan Padilla, the alleged carnap ring leader who died after what was claimed to be an encounter with the law enforcers. But then I cannot ignore the possibility that he was intentionally killed to silence him--maybe he had some connections with people in the government, and maybe these people are fearful and sure that Ivan would confess and reveal their participation on the alleged crime.
Hindi ko sinasabing sinadya siyang patayin. Pero hindi ba, nandun ang posibilidad, lalo na't may mga ebidensiya sa media?
I remember a brother who was nabbed out of trip by the PSG in Manila last year. The PSG trained his armalite towards my bro, who was still a minor back then. This PSG then grabbed him by his shirt, and almost choked him... just out of trip.
Nakakatakot ang panga-abuso sa kapangyarihang ipinagkatiwala sa mga law enforcers.
I hope the Commission on Human Rights would take this matter seriously. Otherwise, these abusers will continue to prey on suspects and even innocent individuals.
