Earth Hour at Home
I was so excited to put down my bag, change to pambahay clothes, then watch TV as soon as I got home that night. Then around 8:40, my friend Mommy Red sent a group message through text: "It's earth hour, let's turn off our lights." I was so glad hat Mommy Red sent me a reminder. I almost forgot that March 26, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm was earth hour. So i replied to his text and said, "Tnx Mommy Red for reminding me, I turned off our lights just now." I also sent the same reminder. Some of them replied, assuring me that their lights were already turned off.
When I looked outside our home, it was so dark, except in areas where street lights remained on. I was so proud of our neighborhood since they also participated in this annual activity. May sense sila ha. No words needed for them to express their one-ness in this advocacy to save the earth's environment.
Every year our household participate in this event. It's not that much, but it is something that would eventually lead to a better, safer environment for the future generations to come. Love Earth.=)
