Explore National Museum for Free

Rediscover Philippine history. Go to the National Museum, entrance is for free!

For the whole month of October, the administration of the National Museum is opening its exhibits, collections, and the artsy building itself (among others) to public viewing free of charge.

It's a great way to rediscover, uncover, explore Philippine history. Be amazed by the richness of Filipino heritage. Know for yourself that even before the foreign traders and colonizers came, we Filipinos already have our own civilization -- system of government, business, religion, including collections of arts.

As for myself, I'm excited to go see the textile exhibit, where the oldest linen found in the Philippines is included. This ages-old linen has been discovered in Bantoon Island in Romblon, my home province.

Going to National museum, and other museums showcasing Filipino heritage, is way better than going to the malls which are fraught with colonial mentality and commercialism.
