Knights: Decent, Noble and Gallant

Arriba!

LETRAN Knights and San Beda Red Lions' rivalry for supremacy in the oldest basketball league in the country continues to heat up. Thanks to these arch-rivals' history and the current issues on the fairness and credibility of the game.

Nevertheless, amid the alleged trickery to disadvantage the Letran Knights, we Letranistas remain calm. As always, we exude grace amid pressure.

To borrow the words of alumnus Barbie Atienza: "... we may never be dismayed, I say we remain calm and sober, keep our emotions at bay and remain focused, we have a championship crown to win... We will show them that we know how to respect the rule of law and have the decency to recognize and submit to authority...." ("Taga Letran Manila Ka Kung" Facebook Group, retrieved on October 25, 2012).

As true-blooded Letranistas, we have reached the finals through sheer determination, hard work and faith in our Supreme Creator, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary. We have given our worthy opponent a difficult challenge. But most importantly, we Letranistas from all generations around the world have been reuKNIGHTed once again.

As our rector and president, Fr. Tamerlane R. Lana, O.P., said: "...we must always defend the ideals of a true Knight -- decent, noble and gallant...."

Conquistar por tu honor Nuevas Glorias!
