RVM Alma Mater, my LSS

Nadz has recently finished his undergraduate studies. Thus, everyone in the family are now degree holders, thanks to our favorite love team, ManTer, who has been very supportive. To God be all the glory.

During Nadz's graduation ceremony held on April 6 at the PICC, I found myself humming the Religious of the Virgin Mary (RVM) Alma Mater Song. It's probably because I was missing Saint Mary's Academy (SMA), the "beloved school of our childhood," as the school hymn "Hail Saint Mary's" goes.

I spent my childhood years at SMA, an RVM school. I came here when I was five years old and left when I was 16. My schoolmates were also my childhood friends, "mga kababata." Of course, the scene wouldn't be complete without the nuns and the teaching and non-teaching staff who made our stay both inspiring and challenging, and beautiful all in all.

From the RVM nuns at SMA, I went to Dominican priests at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran and at the University of Santo Tomas to pursue undergraduate and graduate education, respectively.

Anyway, in view of my LSS (Last Song Syndrome) here are the lyrics of the RVM Alma Mater Song and of "Hail Saint Mary's."
